Description

The ETSA Psychopharmacology CE course continues its examination of psychotropic drug classes, now exploring psychosis and its pharmacological treatments. Drug treatments incorporate the psychosis associated with schizophrenic manifestations, as well as those associated with affective manic and major depressive episodes.

As usual, the material presented will incorporate a modicum of psychopathology as a means of introducing the learner to the relevant psychopharmacology. Drug classes will be discussed, as will individual meds. When pertinent, nondrug therapy will be broached. Once again, the PowerPoint presentations - as well as the accompanying audio - will focus upon the most important points/topics; it is hoped that such emphases will encourage further thought and stimulate learners to expand upon material presented. It is also hoped that the presentations will make it easier for learners to make constructive use of supplemental texts on the subjects covered.

It is hoped that all those who avail themselves of this course continue to be assisted in their clinical studies and in their practices by the material presented herein and the topics discussed.
